Greetings of the President of the Organizing Committee

Dear Friends,

Once again Cortina d’Ampezzo has been chosen to host the two Women’s World Cup competitions, event  that has become traditional in Cortina’s winter season.

It is with great pleasure that in the name of the Organising Committee  and of all the sportsmen of my city I welcome you to the Queen  of the Dolomites,  wishing an important sport success to all the participants as well as professional results to all those who, in different ways,  participate in the organization of the event.

The commitment and professionalism of so many of us, already since 1969 - both in women’s and men’s - and to date,  allows Cortina d’Ampezzo  to guarantee to the entire world of the FIS a secure technical organization, taking into consideration the constant modernization of the  Olympia run of the Tofane,  and a fantastic Hotel and Commercial  organization of the City.

The City Council, with its continuous collaboration  essential to the success of the event, provides the necessary means, personnel and other resources for the development of the initiative.

I also wish to thank in advance all the press and television journalists from all over the world for the great amount of work they will carry out during the entire period of the event.
