Set in the heart of the Dolomites, Cortina d'Ampezzo lies

by stately mountain groups and with the river Boite running
north to south through it. Venice is 160 km to the south,
the Austrian borders of Prato Drava and the Brenner Pass respectively

Dobbiaco and over Passo Cimabanche.
-From the south, motorway A27, exit Pian di Vedoia/Longarone,
from there it is less than an hour's drive to Cortina.
