The final preparations are being made for this year’s exciting Ladies’ Ski World Cup, to be held in Cortina d’Ampezzo on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 January. And Fondazione Cortina 2021 has made special arrangements to ensure travel and access to the Dolomite ski resort is easy, so visitors can enjoy two hassle-free race days.

Getting to Cortina:

Dolomitibus, in partnership with Fondazione Cortina 2021, will be providing a bus service to Cortina from Feltre and Belluno on Saturday and Sunday. The “Fan Bus” to Socrepes will also stop in Feltre, Sedico, Belluno, Longarone and Tai. Tickets can be bought online on www.cortinaclassic.com or www.musement.com. From 5 January visitors will also be able to purchase the bus + World Cup ticket package using the Nugo app. For more information about times: www.cortinaclassic.com.

Getting around Cortina:

To ensure traffic flows smoothly around the town and in the competition area, the stretch of the SR48 road between Cortina and Pocol will be closed on Saturday (9.00-10.30) and Sunday (9.00-11.15).

There are a variety of options for spectators to reach the race course:

  • Public transport: buses no. 3 or 3A from Piazza Roma (from 8.30 am onwards, every 15 minutes) or from the station to Socrepes; to reach the finish area at Rumerlo visitors can either change bus (shuttle from Gilardon to Rumerlo) or take the Socrepes – Roncato chair lift (free for spectators) followed by a 5-minute signposted walk from the chair lift arrival station. More information about public transport on https://www.serviziampezzo.it/trasporto-urbano/;
  • Free shuttle buses: visitors who come to Cortina with their own car will be able to park in one of the park and ride car parks in the Lungoboite/Via dei Campi area of town (school district) and in Son dei Prade (Olimpia chair lift arrival station). Free shuttle buses will operate from these car parks from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm to take spectators to Socrepes. To reach the finish area at Rumerlo, visitors can either take another shuttle bus (Gilardon – Rumerlo) or the Socrepes – Roncato chair lift (free for spectators) followed by a 5-minute signposted walk from the chair lift arrival station;
  • On foot: Signposted path from the centre of Cortina going through Lungoboite, Crignes and Meleres to the departure station of the Socrepes – Roncato chair lift (approx. 25 minutes, steep uphill route). From here, visitors can reach the finish area at Rumerlo by taking the shuttle bus (Gilardon – Rumerlo) or the Socrepes – Roncato chair lift (free for spectators) followed by a 5-minute signposted walk from the chair lift arrival station;
  • On skis: skiers have two options: they can either take the Freccia nel Cielo cable car (there is a large car park at the departure station) and ski down from Col Drusciè to Piè Tofana and then to the finish area at Rumerlo; alternatively, they can ski from the Son dei Prade car park.

Tickets can be purchased on www.cortinaclassic.com or at the two ticket points in the finish area at Rumerlo from 8.00 am on race days.

Tourist facilities:

As the SR48 road will be closed briefly on the race days, a skibus service connecting Cortina with the Falzarego Pass will be run by Dolomitibus. For information about times, visit: https://dolomitibus.it/it/l/orario-dolomiti.
