Unstoppable. Lindsey Vonn, after the downhill yesterday in Cortina on the Olympia delle Tofane slope, also dominates the superG bringing to 75 her victories in the World Cup, just 11 points behind record-holder Ingmar Stenmark (86 victories). In terms of record, Lindsey reached the number 11 in Cortina: she is the Queen of Speed! Of the 75 victories, 37 have come in downhill, 27 in superG, 5 in combined, 4 in giant slalom and 2 in slalom. 

It was not easy for her today, on a path designed by Swiss engineer Roland Platzer, angled, which almost never allowed to flatten the skis on the snow in search of speed, designed for a "ferret" as Lara Gut. But Lindsey is a "cannibal", leaves nothing, the word surrender is not in her vocabulary. So she did not try to stand out on her favorite surface, but brushing the curves, making the most of the run and the elastic response of the skis. It was enough to see the small puffs of snow were queued to her changes of direction.

Lindsey Vonn led the superG race in Cortina ahead of Tina Weirather (Lietchenstein), second in 1:27.24 , and Viktoria Rebensburg (Germany) in 1:27.70. The Austrian Cornelia Huetter ended fourth (1:27.74) and Lara Gut fifth in 1:27.86. 

For all these champions the appointment with Cortina is for next year, when, in addition to downhill and superG, will also scheduled the giant slalom. For Vonn this appointment with Cortina d'Ampezzo has always been magical: will it be the right time to reach Stenmark?

The best Italian racer was Federica Brignone - ninth, Elena Curtoni 10th, Sofia Goggia 15th tie with Nadia Fanchini.
