CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, 19TH OF JANUARY 2014 – No other decision could be taken: it has been snowing all night long, also yesterday, so in the early morning the ladies’ downhill race of  Cortina d’Ampezzo has been cancelled. Some athletes are staying in Cortina since the president of the OC Enrico Valle has organized the accomodation  in our wonderful valley also for these training and race-free days.

Enrico Valle is also president of the bidding committe of the Fis Alpine Ski World Championships 2019 that will be assigned at the Fis Congress in Barcelona in June.  The testimonial of the candidature is the legendary Alberto Tomba, known all over the world and enthusiastic to be part of the candidature team.

After both ladies' competitions in Cortina d'Ampezzo (ITA) had to be cancelled the new program will be the following:
Tuesday, 21.01.2014 arrival day, Team Captains Meeting at 20:00 
Wednesday, 22.01.2014 Downhill Training at 10:30 
Thursday, 23.01.2014 rescheduled SG from Cortina, starting time 10:15 
Friday, 24.01.2014 rescheduled Downhill from Cortina, starting time 10:15 
Saturday, 25.01.2014 rescheduled Downhill from Garmisch, starting time 10:15 
Sunday, 26.01.2014 rescheduled Super-G from Garmisch, starting time 12:00
